The Grand Premiere of India’s Best Dancer will air on August 3 and 4, where viewers will get to see the ‘Best Barah’ along with their respective choreographers.
Following weeks of auditions from across the nation, India’s Best Dancer 4 has finally got its top 12 contestants. The ‘Best Barah’ contestants selected by Karisma Kapoor, Geeta Kapur and Terence Lewis will now compete against one another for an enthralling showdown dance competition. As the journey to claim the title of India’s Best Dancer kickstarts, let’s take a look at the contestants of the show.
The list of selected contestants who have been picked to go ahead in the dance reality show includes Amos Mathi, Arjun Sathe and Akansha Mishra (Akina) from Mumbai, Nikhil Patanayak from Chhattisgarh, Harsh Keshri from Patna, Smruti Swarup Patra (Nextion) and Dibyajoti Naik from Orissa, Deepak Sahi (Nepo) from Uttarakhand, Vaishnavi Shekhawat from Bangalore, Steve Jyrwa from Meghalaya, Chitrakshi Batra from Punjab and Rohan Choudhary from Assam.
According to reports, each of these contestants is skilled in their own preference of dance form, proving they are the perfect pick for the show. While Amos, who hails from Borivali, is skilled in freestyle, Arjun Sathe won hearts with his impeccable talent to blend house dance with contemporary style. Moving further, Akansha was rightfully chosen for leaving an impactful mark with his enchanting lyrical styles. The way Nikhil Patanayak highlighted his emotions with creativity while performing tough contemporary moves, simply won the hearts of the judges and the audiences. Even Harsh delivered a powerful performance, marking his place in the top twelve on the show.
Orissa’s Smruti Swarup Patra showcased emotive storytelling and even made Karisma dance with him. Dibyajyoti Naik also managed to secure a spot in the top 12 of the show, thanks to his skills as a dancer with expertise in popping and Bollywood style. Additionally, with their dynamic hip-hop style and modern contemporary dance, Deepak Shahi and Vaishnavi Shekhawat also mesmerised the panel. Not to miss the stunning hip-hop moves and flawlessness of 17-year-old Steve Jrywa who was branded as the ‘surprise package’ by the judges of the show. Punjab’s Chitrakshi Batra shook her legs with choreographer Vartika Jha whereas Rohan Chaudhary also impressed the judges of the show.
