Ajay Devgn and Aamir Khan arrived for the mahurat launch of Indra Kumar’s son Aman Indra Kumar’s debut film Tera Yaar Hoon Main. As they reunited, the duo took the guests back to their Ishq (1997) days. Directed by Kumar, the film also starred Juhi Chawla and Kajol.
Getting nostalgic, Ajay and Aamir reminisced about their time working together. Aamir said, “We don’t meet often, but when we do, it’s always with a lot of warmth and love. I really like the guy he is.” Ajay chimed in, “I was just telling him we had so much fun on the set of Ishq; we should do another one.” To which Aamir agreed, saying, “Yeah, we should.”
The two also remembered a scene involving a chimpanzee. “Remember the chimpanzee sequence? That chimp actually attacked me once,” said Aamir with Ajay adding, “Yes, but it was fun. Aamir ran off like a girl!”

We asked Kumar about the possibility of an Ishq 2 with Ajay and Aamir and he was quick to react saying, “Neki aur puch puch? The only thing is that to make a sequel that matches up to the original is a big task. Aisi script bhi toh likhni chahiye na. However, if Ajay and Aamir ask me to start work on it then why not? If they tell me script likho toh main kal se hi likna shuru kar du. Once they say confirm and discuss signing amount then we will be good to go.”
Talk about sequels, Indra told us that he would think about working on Beta. The film that released in 1992 starred Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit and Aruna Irani.
