Prof Prashant Kumar, Head of Film Dimension at Meerut Province, detailed the event in a recent discussion.
The Navdha Film Festival, organised by the Deendayal Kamdhenu Gaushala Samiti at Farah in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura district, is offering a significant opportunity for short film enthusiasts to showcase their work and win substantial prizes. Participants are invited to submit short films centered around various themes related to the sacred cow.

- The Suffering of the Cow
- The Village and the Cow
- The Cow as a Symbol of Faith
- The Cow as a Lead of the Economy
- The Cow as an Introduction to Prosperity
- The Importance of the Cow Since Ancient Times
- The Importance of the Cow in Indian Culture
Interested youth can submit their films by registering online at bffb@gmail.com. The deadline for entries is January 1.
Prize Details:
- First Prize: Rs 51,000
- Second Prize: Rs 11,000
- Third Prize: Rs 5,100
- Consolation Prize: Rs 1,000
Prof Kumar emphasised that the festival aims to reconnect the younger generation with the cultural values through these cinematic expressions.
The Vishwa Samvad Kendra Braj Province will serve as the event’s coordinator. Additionally, the Meerut Film Society, led by President Manoj Kumar Srivastava and General Secretary Amrish Pathak, will support the festival. The society is actively promoting the event through posters in educational institutions to encourage maximum participation from the Meerut region.
