Recently, Aamir Khan hosted a lavish celebration at his Mumbai residence to mark his mother Zeenat Hussain‘s 90th birthday. The star-studded event saw over 200 family members and friends, making it a memorable event for everyone there. A while ago, Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan took to her social media account and shared happy pictures with her grandmother from the birthday bash.
Sharing the pictures on her Instagram feed, Ira is seen back hugging her grandmother, both of them smiling brightly. The caption also reads, “Our faces when we whoop your bums at court piece!” Ira’s husband Nupur reacted to the picture with heart emoticons. Kiran Rao also shared Aamir Khan’s mother picture to her Instagram story and wrote, “Happy Birthday Ammi”.
Ira married her long-time boyfriend Nupur in a traditional Christian wedding in Udaipur, Rajasthan, after solemnising their relationship via a registered marriage at Taj Lands End, Bandra, in Mumbai on January 3. Reportedly, Nupur and Ira met during the COVID-19 lockdown. The duo had engaged in November last year.
On the work front, Aamir Khan’s last release was ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan. Now, the actor is prepping for his next project, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, a sequel to ‘Taare Zameen Par’. The shooting for the film has already started. Directed by RS Prasanna, the film will focus on Down syndrome. Alongside Aamir, it features actors Genelia D’souza and Darsheel Safary in pivotal roles.
