Aamir Khan is currently basking in the success of his production venture, ‘Laapataa Ladies’, directed by his ex-wife Kiran Rao, as the movie has become India’s official entry for the 2025 Academy Awards in the Best International Feature Film category.
Now, according to a recent report, Aamir is going to collaborate with director Lokesh Kanagaraj for a big-screen entertainer.
According to Pinkvilla, Aamir and Lokesh are in discussions for a superhero film.The report also revealed that they have been meeting frequently over the past few months to explore potential collaboration ideas. A superhero film has piqued both of their interests, and Lokesh is currently working with his writing team to develop the concept. Once the first draft is ready, it will be presented to Aamir for further consideration.

Aamir is currently busy working on ‘Sitare Zameen Par‘ and may begin a film with Rajkumar Santoshi, Zoya Akhtar, or Avinash Arun in 2025. Lokesh is filming the Superstar Rajinikanth starrer ‘Coolie‘ and will follow it up with ‘Kaithi 2’ in 2025. If Aamir approves the superhero film’s script, production could begin in 2026. The idea is still in development, and Lokesh is excited about collaborating with Aamir.
The source further stated that the ‘PK’ actor will also have a cameo in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s ‘Coolie’ alongside Rajinikanth. The cameo was finalized during discussions about the superhero film, with Aamir enthusiastically agreeing. Lokesh has crafted a special, high-energy sequence featuring Aamir in a unique avatar, marking a reunion between Aamir and Rajinikanth.
Aamir Khan is in discussions with Allu Aravind about ‘Ghajini 2‘, believing the concept has great potential for a franchise. He has urged Allu, Madhu Mantena, and their team to develop a compelling storyline for the sequel. If everything falls into place, Aamir could make history by starring in a follow-up to the first Indian film to gross over Rs 100 crore.
