Bollywood star John Abraham has sparked excitement among fans after a picture from the sets of Hrithik Roshan’s ‘WAR 2‘ in Italy, went viral online.
Abraham, who played the character of Jim, the primary antagonist in Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s spy film ‘Pathaan‘, has fueled speculation about the possible return after a picture of a man looking a lot like him, surfaced online. The photo doing the rounds saw Hrithik looking intently at the screens on the sets while a man in the background, looking a lot like John was seen in a bearded look and sporting a brown tee.
“John Abraham cameo in #war2?” a fan asked, prompting many to debate if the man in question was the actor or if it was just someone who looked like the actor.
Another picture from the sets, saw a man, appearing in a similar outfit, while working his way around the sets.
However, the inclusion of John’s name and character on the film’s Google page has only seemed to fuel speculaton about his possible return to screens next year alongside Roshan and Jr NTR. If the rumours are confirmed, Abraham’s return as Jim would bring a thrilling crossover between the YRF Spy Universe, connecting characters from ‘Pathaan’ and ‘WAR’.
Previously, it was reported that ‘WAR 2’ will probably be linked to ‘WAR’ after Hrithik was spotted wearing the exact same stealth uniform that he wore in the first film.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film is set to raise the stakes in YRF’s expanding spy universe that also includes Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger’ franchise, along with Alia Bhatt’s upcoming action flick ‘Alpha’.
