On July 28, 2024, renowned Bollywood lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar reported that his X (formerly Twitter) account had been hacked. Akhtar clarified that a post regarding the Indian Olympic team, which appeared on his account, was not authored by him but was instead posted by the hackers.
Javed Akhtar took to X to inform his followers that his account had been hacked.He expressed concern over a message that was posted from his account about the Indian team participating in the Paris 2024 Olympics, stating that it was “totally harmless” but not sent by him. He emphasized that he was in the process of reporting the hack to the relevant authorities
He wrote in his tweet, “My X ID is hacked. There is a message ostensibly from my account about our Indian team for Olympics. It is totally harmless but not sent by me. We are in the process of complaining to the concern authorities in X.”

The Paris 2024 Olympics are currently underway, and Indian athletes are competing fiercely for medals. Notably, Manu Bhaker made headlines by becoming the first Indian woman to win an Olympic medal in shooting, which has garnered widespread acclaim from both fans and celebrities alike.
Following Bhaker’s achievement, numerous Bollywood stars congratulated her on social media. Kareena Kapoor Khan, for instance, praised her accomplishment, stating, “First win is home! Congratulations @bhakermanu, you’ve made all of us so proud!”
On her Instagram stories, Preity shared a photo of Manu, writing, “Congratulations @bhakermanu on winning the first medal for India in #olympics2024 #bronzemedal #shooting #parisolympics2024 #JaiHind #ting.”
Similarly, Taapsee posted the same photo, adding, “Opening our Olympic medal tally account with a bronze!!! Congratulations to this fantastic shooter.”
Ali Bhatt also took to her Instagram stories and wrote, “Our first medal is here! Congratulations on this amazing achievement! @bhakermanu.”
