Jennifer Lopez hasn’t been in the best of times lately with the divorce threat from Ben Affleck. Insiders familiar with the singer and actress note that she actually did not want the marriage to end, but felt she had no other choice. Lopez, however, is moving on and has a lot of hope for herself as well as for her children about having a better future.
The source points out that 2024 has probably been the hardest year for Lopez, as she filed for divorce from Affleck on August 20, precisely wo years after the marriage in Georgia.Although she labeled their official separation date as April 26 in court documents, Lopez filed for divorce without a lawyer in Los Angeles County Superior Court. The source reflected how upset Lopez had been in the situation yet learned that nothing would change between them.
She seems to have learned to face up to this stage of life despite the pain of her divorce. She does not view her divorce as failure but as something destined to be done. Atlas’s star in the movie will take time off for herself and her family; therefore, she’ll continue to reflect on beautiful memories shared with Affleck.
Lopez recognizes all the privileges in life and thanks God for them, but her focus now is building a happy future for her and her children, Max and Emme, whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony. For Affleck too, things are well when it comes to the family. The estranged couple even reunited last month to take their children out for lunch, showing their willingness to ensure that the kids can still bond despite the separation. Affleck has three children from ex-wife Jennifer Garner: Violet, Seraphine, and Samuel. In professional terms, both Lopez and Affleck will be moving on with new projects. Lopez just confirmed her new role in the Netflix rom-com, ‘Office Romance‘, where she stars alongside an actor from the show ‘Ted Lasso‘ called Brett Goldstein. Meanwhile, Affleck was seen filming for a movie in Los Angeles earlier in October.
Even though their marriage is over, Lopez and Affleck remain professionals connected to one another. Lopez stars in ‘Unstoppable’ and ‘Kiss of the Spider Woman’, both of which are being produced by Affleck’s production company, Artists Equity.
