Junaid Khan Gets Candid About Father Aamir Khan: Dad Gave Us The Freedom To Be Ourselves | Maharaj
Talking about in an exclusive interview with ETimes, Junaid said , “ Most people didn’t even know the film was made actually.A lot of people didn’t know the film was being made, as it was made just after the lockdown, it wasn’t really announced as such. So, it wasn’t really a topic of conversation. ”
Junaid’s director Siddharth shared that most people didn’t even know that he was Aamir Khan’s son and till last week, people were confirming with him about Junaid’s lineage.
Aamir who had recently appeared on Kapil Sharma’s show mentioned that his kids don’t listen to him. Clarifying his stand Junaid said, “ Now, in all fairness, we do listen to him. Let me not talk about his other children.. But at times, like all parents, sometimes parents are being parents and you have to be like, okay, bro. Got it.!!!”
Adding more, he stated, “ Papa actually always gives us freedom to be who we are. And I think he really appreciates us for that. If you ever ask him about something, he’ll never be like don’t do this, or don’t do that. He’ll always be like, “Look, I feel this but you should do what you want.”
Siddharth also added that Junaid and Aamir are very thick, in fact they are best of friends and there’s a lot of mutual respect.
Post Maharaj, Junaid has two films lined up, one is with Sai Pallavi and another is with Khushi Kapoor.
