Saqib Saleem, who recently delivered ‘Kakuda’ has opened up about the struggles of being an outsider in Bollywood. ‘Kakuda’, which is a horror comedy, is streaming on OTT, and the film featured Sonakshi Sinha, Riteish Deshmukh, and Saqib Saleem in the lead roles. Interestingly, this film also marks Saqib’s first release after ‘83’.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Saqib spoke about how he has evolved as a performer over the years, and also about the struggles of being an outsider in the industry.When asked about the break after the release of ‘83’, he said that he was working; however, the release dates got pushed, and such things did not go as planned.
The actor also opened up about the challenges he has faced as an outsider. He spoke about how sometimes one has to choose from what’s being offered to them. He also emphasized that he does not want to start a debate on the whole outsider-insider thing. He shared that one has to figure it out themselves, and when they do that, it is important to be careful about what one can do and not. He expressed that he had friends who helped him to figure that out.

Speaking about his journey so far, he stated that he likes the pace of how his work goes. Saqib stated that he has never been an actor, who had five films for release. It has always been like one film, and then next. He further expressed that he enjoys the pace.
