The Telugu film ‘Kalki 2898 AD‘ after its release in theatres on June 27, 2024 has been running successfully as it has been critically acclaimed. The makers on day 12 of the release, Monday, took to social media to state that the film has officially surpassed Rs 900 crore at the box office worldwide. Though the film on its second Monday saw a steep drop in numbers, it is magically marching towards Rs 1000 crore at the box office.

The film on day 12, Monday earned Rs 11.35 crore at the box office and the entire Telugu box office stands at Rs 250 crore and Hindi box office stands at Rs 220 crore in India. With no other big releases in line in Tollywood, the film is said to continue running in theatres till next week.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is set in the post-apocalyptic world in the future and the mythological science fiction stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. The music for the movie is composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
