Karan Johar and Ajay Devgn recently addressed their long-standing feud during an episode of Koffee with Karan, revealing the details of their past conflict and their journey towards reuniting.
The conflict originated from the simultaneous release of Ajay’s film ‘Shivaay’ and Karan’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil‘ in theaters, leading to a misunderstanding that kept the two from speaking to each other for years.
Earlier, In a quick question round on the show, Karan asked Ajay about his former ‘sworn enemy’ in the film industry. Ajay laughed and candidly replied, “Once upon a time, it was you,” catching Karan off guard. Karan then brought up their past disagreement, noting Ajay’s graciousness in moving past it.
Karan noted that the conflict not only affected his relationship with Ajay but also strained his friendship with Kajol. Despite this, Ajay was gracious enough to move past the issue. Karan recalled that when they found themselves in the same studio, he expressed a desire to meet Ajay, who agreed immediately. Karan recalled.
Karan shared that he approached Ajay’s van, where the actor quickly suggested they not dwell on the past and instead move forward. “He said ‘let’s not talk about anything. You are close to Kajol. We are one industry and we should…’ And it took a minute for us to go back to normalcy,” Karan recounted. Ajay added, “It’s a very short life. You can’t… whoever is wrong or right, me, you… doesn’t matter. Just move on.”
On the professional front, Ajay Devgn is gearing up for his next project, ‘Singham 3’.
