Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan marked the 24st anniversary of her debut film ‘Refugee’ with a heartfelt message. On Sunday, June 30, Kareena took to her social media to celebrate the milestone, both of the film, and her career. She posted a nostalgic tribute to the film that launched her career.
‘Refugee’, directed by J.P. Dutta, was released on June 30, 2000, and introduced Kareena Kapoor alongside fellow debutant Abhishek Bachchan.The film, which dealt with the themes of love and separation set against the backdrop of the India-Pakistan partition, received critical acclaim and also marked Kareena’s first step into showbiz.
In a note shared on Instagram, Kareena penned, “24 years of discovering myself and my characters… The best is yet to come… Love you all…”
