Karisma Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit recently graced the stage of Dance Deewane. While Madhuri is a judge on the dance reality show, Karisma marked her presence as a guest. The superstar duo of Bollywood evoked waves of nostalgia among fans with their magical appearance. Recently, Karisma shared a video from the show featuring her alongside Madhuri as they recreated the iconic hook steps of the track Chak Dhoom Dhoom.
Chak Dhoom Dhoom is a popular track from the film Dil To Pagal Hai. It featured the three protagonists of the film Shah Rukh Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit dancing in the rain with a group of kids. In the recent video shared by the Murder Mubarak actor, we can see both the divas effortlessly channeling their characters, Nisha and Pooja, from the film. The unexpected recreation of the popular dance number marked a nostalgic reunion after 26 years.
Dressed in a black printed saree paired with a belt and drape which added a contemporary touch to it, Karisma exuded timeless charm with her mesmerising presence. On the other hand, Madhuri looked like a pure diva in a yellow three-piece co-ord set. Her traditional ensemble featured an embroidered crop top, matching flared palazzo adorned with cut work embellishments and a jacket with a long train.
The video has prompted fans to demand another film featuring the 90s stars together. One of the fans requested, “Pleaseeee make a movie together.” For another user, Karisma and Madhuri are an “Evergreen duo.” A third expressed her joy as she wrote, “What a treat for a Bollylover since the 90s.”
That’s not all. In a recently released promo for the upcoming episode, both Karisma Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit also recreated their iconic Dance of Envy sequence from the same film. Needless to mention, the energetic face-off between the two talented stars was a defining dance moment for many years.
As the unforgettable dance battle came to life once again, the audience cheered for the actress followed by Suniel Shetty’s standing ovation. Shetty, who is one of the judges on the show, hailed Karisma and Madhuri as “the greatest dancing stars of the industry.”
