Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan were rumoured to be dating for a brief period during the shoot of their film ‘Love Aaj Kal 2‘. It all began when the actress admitted on ‘Koffee With Karan‘ that she wants to date Kartik Aaryan (though, she admits it was just said in fun, going by the show’s format and vibe). While Kartik and Sara have not admitted that they were dating, Karan Johar had asked Sara and Ananya that they have a boyfriend in common, thus hinting at Kartik.The duo may have broken up now, but Kartik and Sara continue to remain friends still.
It was Sara’s birthday yesterday and Kartik dropped birthday wishes for her. He shared a romantic still from their film and wrote, “Happy birthday Sara Ali Khan, Keep shining.”

During a chat with ETimes, while promoting his film ‘Chandu Champion‘, Kartik was asked to say one word for some of his co-stars. When he was asked about Sara, he said, “I was gonna say Love Aaj Kal, but wait, let me come back to it.” After describing the rest of the co-stars on the list, Kartik came back to Sara and called her ‘relatable’ and added that she is very relatable to everyone. He had described Ananya as ‘Woh’.

Meanwhile, Sara was also showered with birthday wishes from Ananya and many other industry celebs. Kareena Kapoor Khan also dropped a love-filled wish for Sara and said she’s sending pumpking sabzi for her.
On work front, Sara will be seen next with Aditya Roy Kapoor in Anurag Basu’s ‘Metro…In Dino‘.
