Kill earned Rs 11.1 crore in the first week and began the second weekend on a good note where it added Rs 3.75 crore to its kitty. And Monday onwards, the film has been maintaining a good speed at the ticket counter. Kill earned Rs 70 lakh on Monday, Rs 80 lakh on Tuesday, and Rs 90 lakh on Wednesday. On Thursday, the numbers fell to Rs 58 lakh, as per early estimates by Sacnilk, thus taking the second week collection of the film to Rs 6.78 crore. The total collection of Kill now stands at Rs 17.88 crore. The film has a very strong possibility of crossing the Rs 20 crore mark by the end of the weekend.
Kill might face competition Friday onwards, with Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimrii, and Ammy Virk starrer Bad Newz releasing in theatres. It is a rare occasion when two films backed by the same producer, in this case, Karan Johar, are running in theatres at the same time.
A Hollywood remake of Kill is in the pipeline with rights for it being bought by John Wick’s director Chad Stahelski’s company. Kill is a story of a night’s train journey about an NSG Captain Amrit Rathod, who takes on a group of goons, headed by Raghav Juyal, trying to loot passengers. One of the passengers is Amrit’s love interest Tullika played by Tanya Maniktala.
