During his hiatus from television, Kim Seon Ho showcased his versatility in theater with the play ‘Touching the Void’ and in film with ‘The Childe’. In 2022, he delighted fans with his inaugural fan meeting and made notable appearances, including in BIGBANG’s Daesung’s music video and on the variety show ‘Mukbo Brothers 2’.
Now, fans eagerly anticipate his return to the small screen with the upcoming K-Drama ‘Can This Love Be Translated?’ where he will portray Joo Ho Jin, a translator. Co-starring alongside him is Go Youn Jung, known for her roles in ‘Alchemy of Souls’ and ‘Moving’. The series is scripted by the renowned Hong sisters, famous for hits like ‘My Girl’, ‘My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho’ ‘Hotel del Luna’ among others, and will be directed by Yoo Young Eun, known for ‘Descendants of the Sun’.
Netflix has unveiled a sneak peek with photos from the cast’s script reading, showcasing Go Youn Jung as actress Cha Moo Hee and Choi Woo Sung as her manager, Kim Yong Woo. Additionally, Sota Fukushi and Lee Yi Dam join the ensemble cast for the ten-episode drama.
Excitement surged online as news of Kim Seon Ho’s comeback spread, with fans expressing overwhelming support and anticipation for his on-screen chemistry with Go Youn Jung. Initially, Son Suk Ku was considered for the lead role in 2023. However, a few months later, talks reportedly shifted to Kim Seon Ho and Han So Hee, and now the cast has been finalized.
Further adding to his lineup, Kim Seon Ho is reportedly set to star in another upcoming K-Drama, ‘The Tyrant’, slated for release in the latter half of 2024. ‘Can This Love Be Translated?’ has begun production, aiming for completion by 2025, with filming locations spanning international destinations such as Italy and Japan.
