Historically, this building housed Big Hit Music from 2007 until its relocation to Samseong-dong in 2018, coinciding with the company’s transformation into HYBE and subsequent move to Yongsan in 2020.

News of Kim Woo Bin’s acquisition has sparked mixed reactions among fans, particularly within the BTS fandom, known as ARMYs. Many ARMYs view the Nonhyeon-dong building as hallowed ground in BTS’s journey to global stardom, symbolizing the humble beginnings and hard-earned successes of the group. The prospect of renovation under new ownership has stirred emotions among fans, with concerns arising about the potential removal of these cherished messages and the alteration of a space so closely tied to BTS’s early days.
