Far from the typical Hollywood scene, Dufrene hails from Louisiana and works as a captain at Airboat Tours by Arthur, a company that offers thrilling rides through the swamps and marshes.
According to his company biography, Today.com reports that he once worked seven days a week at a chemical plant, spending his vacation days shrimping. It wasn’t until some convincing by his family that he decided to pursue a different path, obtaining his captain’s license and embarking on a new career. “Jeremy’s a great airboat captain and loves interacting with wildlife & customers,” his bio reads.
Interestingly, Del Rey’s connection with Dufrene isn’t entirely new. Back in 2019, she shared a post on Facebook featuring Dufrene, which she captioned, “Jeremy lemme be captain at Arthur’s Air Boat Tours.”
The post included a series of photos from an airboat adventure, one of which showed her operating the boat under Dufrene’s guidance. Another photo captured the pair posing together, along with two of the singer’s friends.
The rumors of their relationship gained traction when Rey tagged Dufrene in an Instagram post, referring to him as “my guy”, prompting fans and the media to speculate about the nature of their relationship.
Rumours of a romance between the two began to spread earlier this week when a TikTok user posted a brief video of Del Rey walking hand-in-hand with a man believed to be Dufrene, at a music festival. A few days later, a Reddit user shared a photo of the rumoured couple dining at a restaurant in London, adding more fuel to the speculation.
