Local officials pointed out that the incident caused very grave injuries and the medics pronounced him dead at the scene. Devastated fans mourn the loss, but it also highlights some health issues that he had over his lifetime.
As one of the British pop band members known as One Direction, Liam Payne has been suffering from health problems since the day he was born. According to his confession in the 2011 book ‘Dare to Dream: Life as One Direction’, Liam had come into this world “effectively dead”. The doctors were so baffled by his condition that he suffered many problems with health. Although Liam seemed to recover, there were many underlying health issues. He explained that he was three weeks premature when he came into the world and ill often in the first four years of life. Liam had visited many hospitals undergoing different tests, but no one could determine what was wrong.
Finally, it was found that one of his kidneys was not working properly and was scarred. This disability made Liam take 32 injections every day, 16 in the morning and 16 in the evening to enable him to recover. Even as an adult, he was always conservative about his health. In the novel, he stated that although both his kidneys were intact, only one was functioning and he had to be watchful about his diet, water consumption, and general health.
Liam’s journey to fame began back in 2010 when he auditioned for ‘The X Factor’ – that was when the direction came into existence. Beneath health issues, this lad enjoyed tremendous success with the band as it had an enormous set of hits and a massive fanbase known to the world as “Directioners.” However, just not so far from the success, there were personal issues like alcoholism, among others, in Liam’s case. In July 2023, Liam posted a video on his channel where he shared that he has been six months sober since he began treatment.
On the day Liam died in his tragic fall, the Buenos Aires police responded to a call regarding an “aggressive man” who apparently was on some kind of substance on or about 5 p.m. Liam has been quite vocal about his fight against alcoholism and his struggle all his life with the health issues that have created much attention around his untimely death.
Liam’s death has left his fans, friends, and loved ones in a state of heartbreak; however, it reminds people of the quiet challenges he had to endure with fame.
