Just before Liam Payne’s tragic fall from a balcony, a hotel manager reportedly called 911, stating that the former One Direction singer was heavily intoxicated and wrecking his room.
According to 911 records, Payne was having a serious breakdown in his third-floor room at the CasaSur Hotel in Palermo, Buenos Aires.
According to CNN and La Nacion, the hotel manager called 911 around 5 PM on Wednesday, requesting assistance.
The operator began the call by asking what kind of emergency was happening at the hotel. The manager informed the operator that a guest was “overwhelmed with drugs and alcohol” and causing damage to his hotel room, so they needed help.
The operator asked for clarification about the situation involving alcohol and drugs, and the manager confirmed the details before urgently requesting assistance once more.
The manager expressed concern that the guest’s life might be in danger, mentioning that the individual had been in the room for 2 or 3 days, and hotel staff couldn’t get inside. After further discussion, the operator confirmed that the police were on their way to the hotel.
Sadly, by the time the police arrived, Liam had already fallen from the balcony of his third-floor room and was found dead on the ground below. The police have initiated an investigation to determine if Liam’s death was intentional, accidental, or a suicide.
