Madhuri Dixit, celebrating 40 years in the film industry, is all set to take the US by storm when she meets her fans over the weekend. At a press conference in New Jersey before her tour, the actress was asked if she had ever used Bollywood dialogues to woo her husband, Dr Shriram Nene, or tried serenading him with the song “Tu Shayar Hai Main Teri Shayari” from ‘Saajan’ to him.
With a laugh, she responded, “My husband doesn’t know Hindi that well; he can speak Marathi, but not Hindi, so no.”
The actress shared details about her upcoming USA tour to celebrate completing 4 decades in the film industry. The four-day tour will include stops in New York, Dallas, New Jersey, and Atlanta, where she will meet with fans. Talking about the tour, the actress told IANS, “It is always wonderful to meet your fans because they are the ones who make you with their unconditional love and support. I think the star becomes who he or she is because of the fans; their love is what makes them.”
Dixit mentioned that her upcoming US tour will be quite hectic, as she has back-to-back meetings and events planned. She is excited about meeting her fans but also noted that she will be busy setting up her son, who is studying in the US. “I won’t be able to meet many of my friends, but I will try to see whoever I can,” she said.
On the work front, Madhuri will appear in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, alongside Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri. Vidya Balan will reprise her role as the original Manjulika in the film, set to release on November 1, 2024.
