Mallika Sherawat has been away from the silver screen for quite some time now. Her fans did miss the actress dearly and perhaps that is why she made a comeback with Raaj Shaandilyaa’s recently-released ‘Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.’ During the promotions of the movie, she has been making shocking revelations about her Bollywood journey. She recalled being slut shamed for her work in ‘Murder’ not by the audience but by her industry peers.The actress also took off the veil from the South industry when she revealed that a director told her the hero would prepare rotis on her waist.
In a new interview with Hauterrfly, Mallika Sherawat who is known to keep no secrets, spilled the tea on her experience with a filmmaker in the South industry. Her story revolved around a song shoot in which the director asked her to show her sensual side.
“South mein ek gaana kar rahi thi. Mere paas director aaye ‘Madam, we want to show how hot you are’. I was like ‘okay’. ‘Toh iss scene mein kya hoga na, hero aapki kamar pe rotiyaan sekega’. (The director came and informed me about the scene that they want to show my hotness. The director shared that the hero would prepare chapattis on my waist),” the ‘Murder’ star revealed.
Even while narrating the incident, Maliaka had an expression of disbelief on her face. Despite being the victim of objectification, she couldn’t digest the lengths to which a filmmaker would go to show “how hot a woman is.”
The South director tried to convince Mallika that the scene was important for the song, but the actress rejected the role.
Fast forward to the present time, as aforementioned, Mallika has made her comeback with ‘Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.’ The comedy-drama, which has been released on October 11, is headlined by Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri.
