Mallika Sherawat will be seen on-screen after a while in ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video‘ which also stars Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri. The film is releasing this Friday, along with Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Jigra‘. Mallika is quite excited to be back on-screen after a while. The actress was spotted in the city, promoting the movie and her interaction with the paps was too cute to miss.
Mallika looked beautiful in a black pleated skirt and a printed top.She was seen telling the paps about her film ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. She said, “Parivarik film hai apne parivaar aur baccho ke saath jaana dekhne.” She further joked with them and said, “Bachhon ko leke jaana aur agar bacche nahi bhi ho toh karke jaana.”
One pap reacted to it and said, “Uske liye ladki bhi toh chahiye.” Just as this conversation was going on, a paparazzo, called her Malaika ma’am instead of Mallika, thus almost being reminded of Malaika Arora. The ‘Murder’ actress reacted and said, “Aree Mallika!! Iske kaan kheencho koi,” said the actress and gestured towards naughtily pulling his ear.
‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ is directed by Raaj Shandilyaa. In an interview with ETimes, Raaj had spoken about Mallika’s role. He revealed initially she thought, she was being approached for a dance number. “I had written the role with Mallika Sherawat in mind. The film is set in 1997, and her character is that of a middle-class modern woman. When we initially approached her, she thought we were offering her a dance number.”
He further added, “When we clarified that the part was crafted just for her, she really liked the character and came on board immediately.”
