Drashti Dhami tried her hands on a trendy reel but left her Instagram fandom laughing out loud.
Drashti Dhami is expecting her first child, and after nine years of marriage, she and her husband, Neeraj Khemka, are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their little one. The television star, known for her active social media presence, has been sharing updates on her pregnancy journey with her fans. She has repeatedly opened up about how dealing with the last phase of her pregnancy is the most difficult. Her recent video talks about the same but with a twist.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Drashti shared a video with the caption, “Can we skip the 9th month.” The video was another addition to her series of pregnancy diaries, revealing various facets of the 9-month journey. In the video, she tried a viral trend on social media. Talking about it, the popular sentence from the song The Good Part by AJR, “It’s so hard. Can we skip to the good part?” became quite viral on social media.
Fans, including both renowned celebrities, have made videos with the trending two-liners. In contrast, the next part of the Reel shows some good moments, from a variety of things favourite to the creator. However, when Drashti tried to hilariously skip the 9th month of her pregnancy and land perfectly on the upcoming “good part” of her life, the video didn’t change.
The rest of the voice in Drashti’s video was “Hey, it doesn’t really work that way,” which surprised the actress. Then, with a puzzled expression on her face, she was seen lip-syncing to “What do you mean? I did that thing with the hand,” pointing towards the hand gesture involved in showing the transition effects of the viral trending video. However, she remained disappointed by learning that the viral trend is not applicable during pregnancy in real life.
We must say, Dhrashti’s expressions left us ROFL. Sharing the video, she wrote, “It’s been a while,” punctuated with a pregnant woman emoji. In the video, the actress was dressed in a body-hugging grey-hued dress and flaunting her full-grown baby bump. She kept her makeup absolutely subtle and her curly tresses were left loose to finish off her look.

Drashti and Neeraj earlier revealed their baby is due in October 2024. A month back, the couple’s family hosted a baby shower ceremony for the actress. Several glimpses from the intimate celebration went viral on social media. In the glimpses, the mom-to-be flaunted her baby bump in a one-shoulder blue satin dress. The actress kept her hair open and accessorised her look with a golden choker and white flats. Meanwhile, her husband donned a checkered shirt paired with blue denim and white sneakers. The baby shower was attended by Drashti’s dearest friends from the industry, including actor Nakuul Mehta and his wife Jankee Parekh, and Sunayana Fozdar from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, among others.
