Munjya Box Office: Abhay Verma and Sharvari starrer earns Rs 22.85 crore in third week; crosses 90 crore mark | Hindi Movie News Filmymeet

Abhay Verma, Mona Singh and Sharvari starrer Munjya, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, thanks to its dream run at the box office, has now become the third highest grossing Hindi film of the year behind only Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor starrer Fighter and Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan’s Shaitaan.

The film in its first two weeks, earned Rs 67.95 crore, and in the third weekend, backed a solid earning.The film added another Rs 22.85 crore into the kitty, taking the total collection of the film to Rs 90.80 crore.
The film on Friday earned Rs 3 crore , on Saturday the numbers jumped to Rs 5.5 crore, and on Sunday the number was Rs 6.85 crore. On the following three days ( Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday ), the film earned Rs 2.25 crore respectively. But it was on Thursday, that the film witnessed it’s major drop and collected only Rs 75 lakh as per early estimates by Sacnilk. And it was purely due to the release of Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD starring Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone. The film took one of the biggest openings in the country, amassing nearly Rs 95 crore on Day 1 and is expected to earn at least Rs 50 crore on Day 2.
It would be interesting to see if Munjya can survive the Kalki onslaught at the box office and reach the golden figure of Rs 100 crore in the coming weeks.
