Reflecting on those challenging times, she shared how difficult it was for her parents to see false stories about her in the media. The actress revealed that the constant speculation caused her immense emotional distress, leading her to isolate herself, cry for long periods, and lose her appetite, which was particularly hard for her mother to witness.
At the height of her career, Nayanthara made the surprising decision to quit acting in 2011, facing severe backlash, especially for her portrayal of Sita.
