Neha Dhupia, a mother of two, is in the spotlight for her remarkable weight loss journey. Overcoming postpartum challenges with consistency and determination, the 43-year-old candidly shared that each pregnancy resulted in significant weight gain, surpassing the usual 17 kg mark to around 23-25 kgs.
After her daughter Mehr was born, Neha experienced a period of weight loss during the lockdown, being able to focus on a calorie deficit at home.However, with another pregnancy following soon after, she found herself fluctuating in weight over a span of four years. Despite this, she wasn’t concerned about her appearance postpartum during pregnancy.

The actress, set to appear in ‘Bad News,’ revealed that her weight loss journey didn’t begin immediately after childbirth. Breastfeeding both her children for a year kept her appetite up and energy levels down. It was only a year ago that she fully committed to exercise and a balanced diet, shedding a total of 23 kgs since then. While she hasn’t yet reached her exact weight and inch size goals, she remains optimistic about achieving them soon.

After her weight loss, Neha shared that the transformation not only improved her physical health but also revitalized her career. She feels significantly better, particularly in an industry where appearance plays a crucial role. Professionally, she has observed an increase in offers and feels more confident and comfortable in her clothes.

Dhupia shared that her current regimen includes careful eating habits and a well-rounded exercise routine. As a busy mom, she avoids extreme calorie deficits to maintain energy levels. She finds enjoyment in running and occasionally visits the gym. Dhupia has eliminated sugar, fried foods, and gluten from her diet while maintaining balance. Though not intentional, her lifestyle naturally leads to intermittent fasting. Structured family meals like dinner at 7:00 pm with her kids and breakfast at 11 am with her husband support her health goals.
Neha emphasizes that besides physical benefits, her weight loss has positively impacted her mental health. Feeling healthier enables her to keep pace with her children and enhances her confidence. She strongly believes in the close connection between mental well-being and physical health.
Despite her public persona, Neha remains grounded and offers advice to fellow mothers struggling with postpartum weight loss. She emphasizes the importance of taking it slow and avoiding comparisons with others. Dhupia advocates for self-compassion, particularly in the face of societal pressures and scrutiny.
