Singer Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Antin, the founder of the girl group The Pussycat Dolls have finally come to a legal settlement after three years. Nicole Scherzinger joined the girl group in 2003 before the band split in 2010. Almost nine years later, The Pussycat Dolls re-grouped and a major reunion tour was planned in 2020. The COVID-19 outbreak, however, resulted in the tour being cancelled. Soon after, a dispute broke out between Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Antin over the cancelled tour, leading to a court battle. Now, both women seem to have put the matter into the past and reached a mutual agreement.

According to a report by Page Six, the attorneys of Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Antin jointly filed the court documents on November 1 in Los Angeles. “(The) parties have reached a settlement in principle, subject to the execution of certain written agreements,” read the statement. The terms of the settlement have not been revealed. As per a source of the media outlet, both Nicole and Robin “actually came to a resolution months ago but needed some time to formalise the details.” In response to Friday’s filing, the court cancelled a jury trial that was scheduled to take place on December 9. It was replaced with a hearing on January 28, 2025, to dismiss the case.

The legal tiff began when Robin Antin sued Nicole Scherzinger in 2021 because Nicole allegedly refused to be a part of the tour, reported Page Six. Nicole agreed to participate only if she was given complete creative control and 75 per cent of the profits. In January 2022, Nocole’s lawyer called the lawsuit “meritless,” claiming that the singer simply requested a contract renegotiation after the COVID-19 outbreak repeatedly postponed the shows, which were meant to promote The Pussycat Dolls’ comeback single, React.

Later on, Nicole Scherzinger revealed that the tour was scrapped altogether surprising her bandmates, especially Jessica Sutta and Carmit Bachar. They claimed to have learned the news through Nicole’s Instagram post. The drama reached a climax in August 2022 when Nicole filed a cross-complaint against Robin Antin, alleging financial misappropriation and poor management. Robin denied all the allegations.

Nicole Scherzinger recently made her Broadway debut in a revival of composer Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Boulevard.
