Nitanshi Goel garnered rave reviews for her debut movie Laapataa Ladies, in which she played the protagonist Phool Kumari. The 17-year-old, has since then, become the apple of everyone’s eye, especially on social media, where her song Sajni Re has gone insanely viral, appearing on every IG trend.

While talking to News18, Nitanshi recently said, “The smile is getting wider every day, every minute.

It feels like my life has turned upside down.”
Reacting to Sajni Re going viral on social media, the actress says, “I open my social media and see that every other reel has Sajni Re playing in the background. Every time I listen to the song, I feel like I’m the luckiest girl because I’m the OG ‘Sajni’. I can’t stop flexing it! People are recreating the recipe of Kalakand hoping that Phool loves it and it’s as amazing as the one that she makes in the film and there’s Sajni Re playing in the backdrop!”
Nitanshi also reacted to her photoshopped pic as Phool at the MET Gala. Revealing that she had no idea about it, she said, “I woke up in the morning and saw that, thinking, how did I land up there and did it really happen? I didn’t even know that the team was planning to put that picture out. They wanted to surprise me and it just blew up. I thought it would become the next meme of the year!”

She further said, “I got so many messages from people saying, ‘Did you seriously go there and not tell us?’ So many of my friends also asked me if I went there looking like Phool. Just a day before that picture was posted, I saw Alia Bhatt killing it on the red carpet, hoping that I could attend it someday. And then the next day I saw this picture. I told myself, 50-50 karke meri manifestation work kar rahi hai (laughs).”
During an earlier conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia, the actress was questioned about whether, despite her stardom, she still engages in typical teenage activities like having a crush. Nitanshi promptly replied, emphasising that the love and support of her parents mean more to her than anything else. She went on to share the significant sacrifices her parents made to enable her to pursuit acting.

Nitanshi believes that there is no love as selfless as that of one’s parents. She openly admits that her parents sacrificed their own lives to ensure hers was fulfilled. She detailed, “I just wanted to act and be on TV, and with just that little thought, my father left his business in Noida and he’s here doing a job. My mom left her government job and she’s here for me. All of this was just because I wanted to be an actor.”
