NTR Jr’s Devara crosses US $ 1.5 million mark for premiere shows in USA | Hindi Movie News Filmymeet

Following RRR‘s success, NTR Jr returns with Devara: Part 1, his first solo film in 6 years. The film had generated a strong buzz, but post trailer launch, the response to the film has been a bit subdued. But thriving on the initial response, the film has been to cross a major landmark.

For its premiere show in the United States of America, the film has recently crossed the US $ 1.5 million mark.The film has earned US $ 1,551,393 (Rs 12.95 crore) from nearly 1800 shows, by selling over 53000 tickets. With the total North American circuit collection standing at US $ 1.66 million and with a week to go for the release, the film would be hoping to mint atleast US $ 2 million from the entire circuit for premiere shows. With this, Devara has gone on to become the biggest solo opening for NTR Jr, who is soon going to make his Hindi debut with War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani and directed by Ayan Mukerji.
The film needs to earn more than US $ 5.5 million for it to start making profit, and till the last day before the release, more and more shows will be added to the mix.Devara marks the Telugu debut of Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. The film is directed by Kortala Siva and will have two installments. For the second part, Bobby Deol has been roped in as the negative lead.
