The film had generated a lot of buzz when the advance booking of the film began in the last week of August in the United States of America, in fact it went to cross US $ 1 million mark in advance sales, even before the trailer was released.But since the trailer’s release, the film has met with a somewhat muted response. The trailer, even with its scale and action, felt confounding to fans.
When we last reported the numbers on Friday, the overall premiere day number was US $ 1103000, which had jumped by only US $ 63045 over Thursday’s collection. Now, on Monday morning, the collection stands at US $ 1,250,364 , a jump of just US $ 147027, an average of US $ 73,500. With just 12 days to go for the premiere of the film, the film looks primed to reach US $ 1.75 million mark. For the entire North American market, ( USA + Canada) the film’s break-even point is US $ 5.5 million and it would be interesting to see when it crosses that.
The film marks the Telugu debut of Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor. The film was supposed to be one project, but a couple of months back, the makers decided to split the film into two parts, with Bobby Deol joining the team in the second part.
