Old video of Taylor Swift calling Sean ‘Diddy’ Comb her dream prom date resurfaces: ‘He’s a gentleman’

In light of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ arrest, a lot of his old videos or clips that talk about him are resurfacing on the internet. An old video that recently came again in the limelight features Taylor Swift saying she would love to have Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ as her prom date. This old admiration clip of the singer has raised many eyebrows.
The video is from 2011 when Taylor was just beginning her career. She was on Rachael Ray’s show and in a fun segment when asked to choose her dream prom date, she took names of a few stars like – Diddy, Katy Perry, and Justin Timberlake.
The clip further shows Taylor Swift praising each of her picks. When she spoke about Diddy, she said, “Diddy has actually always been really nice to me.” Then the host chimed in, “He’s a gentleman, isn’t he? He’s a nice gentleman,” to which Taylor responded, “I’d really love to be in the group at the prom.”
As the clip went viral, it sparked a debate. While many are raising fingers at Taylor, there are a few who are defending the singer, as it is an old video. They believe Swift’s innocent admiration for Diddy now feels uncomfortably misplaced.
“As a millennial, we looked up to these people. we didn’t know what was really going on. this is like fearless/now speak Taylor. She likes 19-21 here,” a user defended. “So what?” A second shared, adding “She is innocent don’t drag her..she was a teenager.” “This is proof that she only knew Diddy in passing,’ wrote another commenter.
Meanwhile, since Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ arrest on charges of sex trafficking, and alleged sexual misconduct, he has faced many additional accusations, including claims of forced drug use, and even an alleged connection to Tupac Shakur’s murder. He has pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
