The third season of the much-acclaimed web series ‘Panchayat’ started streaming in the last week of May 2024, and it has been the talk of the town ever since. Aasif Khan, who essayed the role of Ganesh, also grabbed the attention of the audience, and his dialogue, “Gajab bejjati hai,” also went viral on social media for all the right reasons.
Though Aasif Khan is now basking in the success, it wasn’t always rainbows and sunshine for him.Aasif, who gained popularity through roles in OTT shows like ‘Jamtara’, ‘Panchayat’, ‘Pataal Lok’, and ‘Mirzapur’, used to do odd jobs for a living earlier.
In a recent podcast, Aasif Khan revealed that he was washing dishes during Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan’s wedding. He was working as a kitchen help at the hotel where Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor got married. He was working as a waiter and also washed dishes at the establishment. As an aspiring actor, he asked his manager if he could meet the stars. However, his request was denied, and Aasif spoke about how it left him heartbroken because he couldn’t meet his favorite stars despite being so close to them.
Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, the third season of ‘Panchayat’ received a great response from the audience. The series features an ensemble cast of Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, Sanvikaa, Chandan Roy, Durgesh Kumar, Ashok Pathak, Faisal Malik, and Sunita Rajwa.
