Pankaj Tripathi’s wife, Mridula Tripathi, recently shared insights into their lifestyle, revealing that the couple often fights over small things, such as buying plastic boxes. She disclosed that they do not have a microwave at home.
In an interview with YouTuber Atul Taishete, Mridula reminisced about their early days in Mumbai. At that time, she was the primary earner while Pankaj was still building his career, and they both agreed that she would manage the finances. Once Pankaj’s career took off, Mridula shifted her focus to raising their daughter, though Pankaj always remained supportive. She mentioned that no matter how busy he is, even in the middle of a shoot, he always answers her calls or returns them as soon as possible. With a laugh, she added that her calls usually concern everyday household matters.

Mridula shared that Pankaj has not been influenced by stardom and continues to wear simple khadi outfits. However, they frequently have small arguments about the use of plastic. Pankaj, who cares about the environment, refuses to buy plastic containers, which frustrates Mridula. She often tries to explain to him that containers are necessary to manage the household. She humorously describes these arguments as the happiest moments of her life.
“He doesn’t know how to run a house; we can’t just live off one kind of dal and some rice. We need containers! We would have massive fights about buying plastic containers. These were the happiest moments of my life,” she said.
Mridula also revealed that they do not own a microwave, as Pankaj believes it emits harmful waves. “We even fought over installing an air conditioner in our bungalow! Our house in the city has plenty of cross-ventilation,” she shared, adding that they argued every time the humidity bothered the family. However, one day, when Pankaj felt overheated and started sweating, she finally convinced him to buy one.
Mridula and Pankaj have been married since 2004, and they have a daughter. Pankaj was last seen in ‘Stree 2‘.
