Patralekhaa, who had been in a relationship with Rajkummar Rao for more than a decade before their marriage in 2021, recently shared, that her first impression of him was heavily influenced by his role in ‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha’(LSD). From visiting temples and attending gatherings with friends to supporting and becoming each other’s biggest cheerleaders, the couple constantly sets relationship goals.They showcase their unwavering support for one another on social media, inspiring many with the strength and positivity of their bond.
During the interview with Humans of Bombay, she recalled a conversation with a friend studying at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), who encouraged her to participate in a music video alongside Rajkummar. Patralekhaa hesitated, saying, “No, I am not coming because I think he is very, very creepy, and I am scared” . Eventually, she agreed to go but insisted on bringing her sister along for support.
During the shoot, Patralekhaa felt uncomfortable and made her sister sit between them to create some distance. She described the experience as awkward, stating, “They started chit-chatting and I was feeling all weird because he’s that creepy guy from that movie” . Her nervousness was palpable as she admitted to pinching her sister to prevent her from engaging too much with Rajkummar.
The ‘City Lights’ actress noted that while filming the music video together, she observed Rajkummar’s dedication and passion for his craft. She found his work ethic rare and compelling, which ultimately drew her closer to him.
On the professional front, Patralekhaa recently portrayed an air hostess in the series IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack. Meanwhile, Rajkummar Rao is riding high on the success of Stree 2 and is set to appear in the upcoming comedy Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, co-starring Triptii Dimri, which is set to release on October 11, 2024 .
