Piyush Mishra calls out senior actors in the industry who criticise others: 'They become bitter and all of them are suffering today'
Piyush Mishra, known for his candid views, revealed in an interview that he avoids criticizing his peers in the film industry. He cited examples of industry veterans who are now facing the consequences of their past criticisms. Mishra emphasized the importance of focusing on one’s own work and accepting both successes and failures in the creative process.

Piyush Mishra is known for his bold, unfiltered opinions on cinema, society, and politics. In a recent chat with The Indian Express, the outspoken writer-actor shared that he avoids criticizing his peers, noting that industry veterans who have done so are now feeling the impact of their words.
Piyush shared his thoughts on expressing honest opinions, mentioning that Anurag Kashyap has a solid sense of cinema. Although some think they argue over their music collaborations, he clarified that it’s rare. They’ve reached a point where there’s no surprise—Anurag trusts his songs are good, and Piyush acknowledges when Anurag makes a good film, though he refrains from commenting when the films fall short.

He shared that after 6 PM, he dedicates his time to prayer, stepping away from socializing. While he appreciates Anurag Kashyap’s passion for filmmaking, he believes that if a film doesn’t succeed, it’s simply part of the process. Piyush avoids harshly criticizing others, noting that those who spend their lives faulting others often face loneliness and bitterness in old age. For him, there’s no value in lashing out at anyone.

Piyush Mishra made his acting debut in Shyam Benegal’s historical drama series Bharat Ek Khoj. He went on to appear in notable films such as Dil Se, Matrubhoomi: A Nation Without Women, Maqbool, Deewaar, 1971, Gulaal, Rockstar, Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 1, Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 2, Main Atal Hoon, and many others.
