‘Fear Was…’: Nag Ashwin Gets Candid On Filming Kalki 2898 I PRABHAS I DEEPIKA I AMITABH
The film in its first two weeks, minted about Rs 543.35 crore across languages and began its third week run on a strong note.On Friday, the film earned Rs 6 crore and on Saturday, it saw a more then 100 % jump to earn Rs 14.45 crore, as per early estimates by Sacnilk, thus taking the total collection of the film over Rs 550 crore. The final collection of the film at the end of 17th day, stands at Rs 563.8 crore, of which Rs 260.50 crore came from Telugu versions, and Rs 244.70 crore came from Hindi version and the remaining from Tamil and Kannada versions.
The film is also making waves in the North America circuit, where it is in striking distance of displacing Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan ( US $ 17.5 million) from the second spot of highest grossing Indian film in the circuit. Currently Kalki 2898 AD is on the third spot with US $ 17.15 million. The makers are also holding a special screening of the film at Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles with director Nag Ashwin in attendance and the screening recorded a massive collection of US $ 17, 288 ( Rs 14 lakh).
The film is scheduled for a second part of which the team has already shot for 30-35 days.
