‘Fear Was…’: Nag Ashwin Gets Candid On Filming Kalki 2898 I PRABHAS I DEEPIKA I AMITABH
But on Tuesday, the film seems to be back on track, as it minted Rs 5.1 crore, with Hindi version taking the lead once again and contributing Rs 3.1 crore, and Telugu contributing Rs 1.4 crore to the kitty, and the rest coming in from Tamil and Kannada. The total collection of the film now stands at Rs 589 crore, and will possibly cross the Rs 600 crore mark by the end of weekend.
The film in North America is also inching towards the US $ 18 million mark, making it only the second Indian film to do so after Baahubali 2- The Conclusion. One also needs to factor in that Baahubali 2 came with a lot of buzz and publicity from the first part, and since then no first part of any film has been able to cross Baahubali’s numbers.
Kalki 2 is already in the works and the makers have already shot for 30-35 days for it. In an exclusive interview with ETimes, director Nag Ashwin answered a very important question about if the audience would get to see Lord Krishna’s face in the second part and he said , “That was one thing I was very sure of right from the start, that we shouldn’t have something identifiable or an actor or a defining feature of Krishna, because we are saying that he’s God, and we thought the mystery would work if we don’t see that person.”
