Priyanka is gearing up for her upcoming TV series Dus June Ki Raat, where she will share the screen space with Tusshar Kapoor.
Priyanka Chahar Choudhary is currently making headlines for all the right reasons. The actress is in the spotlight, all thanks to her upcoming series Dus June Ki Raat, where she stars alongside Tusshar Kapoor in the lead role. In a recent interview, Priyanka revealed her superstitions about her career and explained why she chose to keep her lead role a secret from her family.
During a chat with Pinkvilla, Priyanka shared, “Mujhe aisa lagta ki mein na bataun agar project ke baare mein pehle toh sahi rehta hai aur agar bata doon toh lagta hai cheezein kharab ho jaenge. (I feel that if I don’t talk about the project beforehand, everything goes well. But if I mention it before, I feel like it doesn’t work out.)”
She continued, “Jab maine apna pehla first TV show kiya tha as a lead toh bhi maine apne ghar waalon ko bataya hi nahi tha that I am doing a TV show as a lead kyunki unke liye ye bahut badi baat hai. Imagine maine unse ye tak baat chupayi hai. (When I did my first TV show as a lead, I didn’t tell my family that I was doing a TV show as the lead because it was a big thing for them. Just imagine, I kept this from them).” Priyanka further revealed that she only informed her family about her role on the day her TV show was airing.
Priyanka admitted that she had concerns about potentially being removed from the show. Fortunately, the show became a big hit, and her family learned about her role only on the day of the telecast. Priyanka confessed that she does believe a little in this superstition.
Directed by Tabrez Khan, Dus June Ki Raat tells the story of Bhagyesh, a man infamous for his bad luck who dreams of reopening his father’s theatre. The series is filled with hilarious misadventures and colourful characters. While Priyanka Chahar Choudhary will play the lead, details about her character are kept under wraps. The cast also includes Tushar Acharya, Shaan Groverr, Leena Sharma and more. The series is set to premiere on August 4 on JioCinema Premium.
Apart from the series, Priyanka will soon appear on Sargun Mehta and Ravi Dubey’s upcoming show Udaariyaan alongside Ankit Gupta and Isha Malviya. All three characters will be reprising their roles as Tejo, Fateh and Jasmine.
