Priyanka Chopra might have done some amazing work in the west, but her roots lie in India. In 2006, she was seen in Krrish, a sequel to the blockbuster Koi… Mil Gaya, that came out in 2003. Starring opposite Hrithik Roshan, Krrish was successful at the Box Office. However, her story behind coming aboard for the same was an interesting one.
Talking with Anupam Kher on his show, PC said, “Rakesh sir saw me at a funeral, and he called me.He said, ‘I saw you at a funeral, you’re very pretty’. I said, ‘Excuse me?’ I was wearing a white salwar kurta, no makeup. Anyway, Rakesh Roshan was calling me, and this was right after Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai. He wanted to see my rushes from Aitraaz.”

While on PC, her Marathi film Paani is gearing up for its big-screen release on October 18. The actress arrived in Mumbai early Friday morning to attend the trailer launch of her upcoming film.
