Rahul Bose shared a story about his first film, revealing how he was denied a chair on set despite being the lead actor. He noted that while he had to stand, the producer and his relatives were given chairs, highlighting an early career humiliation.
Speaking to The Lallantop, Rahul revealed that during his first film, he was never provided a chair on set, despite being the lead actor. He noted that, having transitioned directly from stage to lead role without a heroine in the film, he often sat on road dividers or parapets, while the producer, his sister, and his uncle all had chairs.
After days of enduring the lack of a chair on set, Rahul Bose decided to take action by bringing his own, opting for a fancy one. He found a similar chair at a restaurant, costing Rs 10,000 around 30 years ago. Since then, he has always brought his own chair to avoid repeating that humiliation.
Rahul Bose started his acting career in the late 1990s with the critically acclaimed film ‘English’, August 1994, where he played Agastya Sen under the direction of Dev Benegal. Currently, he is promoting ‘Berlin‘, which will premiere on Zee5 on September 13. Directed by Atul Sabharwal, the film features Aparshakti and Ishwak Singh in lead roles.
