Actor Rajesh Kumar recently opened up about a striking incident from his early career while shooting for the 2001 TV show Kaun Apna Kaun Paraya.
In a candid interview with Dainik Bhaskar, the actor shared an experience where his co-star, veteran actor Manohar Singh, delivered an unexpectedly hard slap during the filming of an intense scene.

According to Rajesh Kumar, the scene is about a nine-minute shot in which his character confronts his on-screen father while intoxicated.Preparing himself for the shot, Rajesh Kumar confessed to having had a small amount of brandy earlier that day. Everything went fine during the rehearsal. When it was time to roll the final take, the moment turned hellish.
In the climax scene, where Manohar Singh needed to slap Rajesh Kumar, veteran actor Manohar Singh struck with such surprising force that the latter was put into shock. The silence on the whole set only enhanced the gravity of the moment.
Reflecting on the incident, Rajesh Kumar said that Manohar Singh immediately apologized and went on to explain his logic behind the act. He said that the slap was aimed at teaching him a valuable lesson in acting-that never to depend on external substances like alcohol to enact an intoxicated character.
On the work front, Rajesh Kumar was last seen in the film ‘Binny and Family‘ which was directed by Ssanjay Tripaathy. The movie also featured the actors Pankaj Kapur, Anjini Dhawan, Charu Shankar, and Himani Shivpuri in pivotal roles. The movie received good reviews from the audiences.
