Rajpal Yadav shares a fond memory of Ratan Tata: 'He hugged me and said, 'Son, you always seem original to me''

Rajpal Yadav paid a heartfelt tribute to the late industrialist Ratan Tata, who passed away on Wednesday, October 9, at the age of 86, following a prolonged illness. Yadav, set to appear in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, shared a fond memory of Tata and reflected on the immense impact the business tycoon had on his life.
Speaking to reporters, Yadav recalled receiving Tata’s blessings years ago and continues to hold that moment close to his heart.”One fond memory I have of him is when he hugged me and said, ‘Son, you always seem original to me.’ I received his blessings several years ago. Since then, I have looked up to him with great respect. No one else can replace him,” Yadav shared emotionally.
He further praised Tata’s lasting contributions, likening him to Dadabhai Naoroji. “Dadabhai Naoroji taught us the vision of life, while Ratan Tata taught us how to run a business and engage in social welfare. He also taught us that whatever we think, we should think for the earth, and whatever we do, we should do it for the people,” Yadav said.
As tributes poured in from across the country, Bollywood‘s Aamir Khan was also seen paying his last respects alongside his ex-wife, director Kiran Rao, at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Mumbai on Thursday.

Earlier in the day, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan took to Instagram to mourn Ratan Tata’s passing. Sharing a vintage photo where he was seen escorting Tata, Bachchan wrote, “An era has just passed away. His humility, his great resolve, his vision, and his determination to accomplish the very best for the Nation, ever a pride. It was my greatest honour to have had the privilege to work together towards common humanitarian causes. A very sad day. My prayers.”
Bachchan and Tata had worked together on the film Aetbaar, the only film venture produced by Tata. The 2004 film, an adaptation of the Hollywood thriller Fear, explored themes of obsession and familial relationships.
