Ranbir Kapoor and his mother, Neetu Kapoor, twinned in shades of pink as they carried out the Ganpati Visarjan rituals.
The actor and his mom were seen in their traditional best attire as they arrived for the visarjan festivities in the city. Keeping up with tradition, Ranbir was seen carrying the idol of Lord Ganesha for the immersion. Videos from the venue saw the Kapoors and a few of other devotees, joining in for a pooja ceremony before bidding farewell to Bappa.
The family has a tradition of hosting Ganesh Chaturthi festivities each year, honouring the deity. This year, Ranbir and Neetu hosted the deity in their home for 5 days.

The Kapoor family has been known to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi with fervour for many years, continuing a legacy upheld by late actor Rishi Kapoor.

This marked Ranbir’s rare public appearance. The actor, who will be playing the role of Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film ‘Ramayana’ has maintained a low profile in recent months. However, it was announced last weekend that the actor has officially wrapped up the first part of the film which is still months away from its release. He will be seen sharing screen space with actor Yash as Ravana and

Sai Pallavi as Sita.

Alia Bhatt and daughter Raha Kapoor did not accompany the duo for the visarjan festivities.
Alia has also been keeping busy with her many work commitments. Besides gearing up for the release of her film ‘Jigra’ the actress has also begun work on her spy film ‘Alpha’. She will play the first female lead in the YRF spy franchise which will see her team up with Sharvari Wagh.
