Fans of the ‘Bridget Jones‘ Diary’ series are in for a treat as Hugh Grant‘s irresistible character, Daniel Cleaver, is back!
Leading lady Renee Zellweger, reprising her role as the iconic, Bridget Jones, was spotted on the film sets. Joining her for the shoot was Grant, who by the looks of some leaked images, appears to be rekindling their romance.
Photographs taken on location in Hampstead show Grant looking as dapper as ever, effortlessly slipping back into the role of the charming womaniser.Sporting a navy suit, Grant was seen getting close with Zellweger, wrapping an arm around her neck and seemingly leaning in for a kiss.

During a break in filming, the veteran star was also seen chatting with two young children, who are speculated to be playing the roles of his or Bridget’s kids.
Colin Firth, who plays the role of Mark Darcy, the father of Bridget’s son, will not be returning for this instalment, as his character has been written out.

The return of Hugh Grant’s Daniel Cleaver comes after rumours indicated that his character may have died in a plane crash. Fortunately, it was confirmed in 2016 that Cleaver is very much alive, allowing for his return in the new film.

The upcoming film introduces new characters, including Leo Woodall, known for his role in One Day, and Oscar nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor. It is rumoured that Woodall, 27, will play Bridget’s new love interest. The book also introduces two potential new love interests for Bridget – Roxster, a 30-year-old toy boy, and Mr. Wallaker, her children’s teacher. With Hugh Grant’s character also stirring up trouble, fans can expect a complex love square rather than a simple love triangle.

Titled ‘Mad About The Boy‘, the fourth instalment of the Bridget Jones saga is set to hit cinemas on Valentine’s Day next year.
