‘Hear Me: Our Summer‘ is a beautiful drama that is all about love and the discovery of oneself. It follows Yong Jun, who has just started getting bold about romance, and Yeo Reum, who learns what she feels when cheered on by her supportive little sister Ga Eul played by Kim Min Ju.
Roh Yoon Seo has headlined dramas such as ‘Our Blues,’ ‘Crash Course in Romance,’ and ’20th Century Girl,’ which landed her a Best New Actress award at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards; now, with ‘Hear Me: Our Summer,’ she is in for another cinematic premiere on the small screen.
In the movie, Yeo Reum is a strong and nurturing character who can take care of her sister Ga Eul, can prepare meals for her. She also takes care of household expenses, and while handling multiple things, she focuses all her energy on helping Ga Eul chase her dream of Olympic gold. Amid this, Yeo Reum, who herself is a great swimmer, never thought of pursuing her own ambition. However, once she engages in a romantic relationship with Yong Jun, she starts to feel excitement and reflects upon her desires.
Roh Yoon Seo encouraged herself to join the project and said, “When I first read the script, I was drawn to the film’s emotional impact and Yeo Reum’s character. I instantly wanted to take on the challenge and show a new side of myself as an actress.” She further added, “ ‘Hear Me: Our Summer’ is a bright, refreshing film, and viewers will really feel Yeo Reum’s sincerity,” revealing a heart-to-heart connection with the project itself.
‘Hear Me: Our Summer’ opens November 6 at movie theaters.
