With netizens commenting that Rohit Shetty has told the Ramayana story through ‘Singham Again’ more effectively than Om Raut did with ‘Adipurush’, the ‘Golmaal’ director is pleased that he has been able to bring the classic tale’s legacy to a new generation.
Talking to Ranveer Allahbadia, director Rohit Shetty said he feels proud of the fact that he has shown the new generation those places where the Ramayana story has happened.

The ‘Singham Again’ director further said that he is proud to bring Ramayana’s legacy to this generation. He said, “My relationship with the Ramayana, more than changing, what I feel proud of is what we’ve done for this generation. We’ve shown them the actual places where these events took place — including the entire journey through Sri Lanka.”
Further, the lead actor Ajay Devgn said that by watching ‘Singham Again’, even those who have not read Ramayana will get to know the storyline.
Starring Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Arjun Kapoor in the lead, ‘Singham Again’ is closer to collecting Rs 200 crores. Even with mediocre reviews, ‘Singham Again’ is proving to be the biggest blockbuster this year.
ETimes rated ‘Singham Again’ with a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars. Our review reads, “Ajay Devgn owns the screen with his quintessential swag, taking the lion’s share as a performer. However, Ranveer Singh steals the show with his razor-sharp comic timing, digging his claws into the role with hilarious lines and scenes. His mimicry of Devgn and Kumar is spot-on, and his entry injects new energy into the film. Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, and Akshay Kumar deliver short but impactful roles, while Kareena Kapoor charms as Avni. Arjun Kapoor delivers a powerful performance in his menacing antagonist avatar. The actor passes off as a worthy nemesis to Singham.”
