This Diwali period has been one of the most exciting times for Indian audiences across the globe, as so many different films were up for offering. On one side there were Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, on the other hand there was KA, Lucky Bhaskar and Bagheera. And amongst all these, there was Sivakartikeyan and Sai Pallavi’s Amaran.

Th film is based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, who was awarded Ashoka Chakra posthumously. The film was backed by Kamal Haasan’s production company along with R. Mahendran and Vivek Krishnani.
On its release, the film generated a lot of positive buzz not only critically, but also box office wise. The film in India entered the Rs 100 crore club on Tuesday night, as its current total collection stands at Rs 102 crore. The film released on Thursday to Rs 21.40 crore collection, with Friday seeing a small dip to earn Rs 19.15 crore. It picked up steam once again as on Saturday, as it collected Rs 21 crore, and on Sunday, the numbers stood at Rs 21.55 crore. On Monday, the numbers dropped to Rs 10.15 crore, and on Tuesday, it stayed Steady at Rs 8.75 crore.

The film has also been doing good business in North America, where it crossed the US $ 1 million mark on the 5th day of its release. On opening day it earned US $ 2,44,951, while day 2 stood at US $ 191,222 . On day 3, the numbers spiked to US $ 293,116, and on day 4, the numbers stayed steady at US $ 2,27,787 and day 5 was 74,679. The total collection of the film now stands at US $ 1.03 million ( Rs 8.68 crore).
Sai Pallavi has two Hindi films lined up , one with Junaid Khan ( Aamir Khan’s son) and another is Nitesh Tiwari’s magnum opus Ramayan with Ranbir Kapoor where she plays Sita.The film will be in two parts with first part releasing on Diwali 2026 and second on Diwali 2027.
