What drew you to your role in Aliya Basu Gayab Hai?
From the moment I read the script, I was captivated by the complexity of my character.There’s a raw vulnerability beneath the surface that really resonated with me. It’s rare to find a role that allows you to explore such a wide range of human emotions. But beyond that, the story of ‘ABGH’ tackles some profound questions about identity and perception that I believe are crucial in today’s world. I knew immediately that this was a project I wanted to be part of – not just as an actor, but as someone who believes in the power of storytelling to spark important conversations.
How did you approach the character of an abductor, and what was the biggest challenge in portraying this role?
I tried to understand the psychology of an abductor. What drives someone to commit such a heinous crime? It was essential to find humanity in the character, even in darkness. The biggest challenge was to make the character believable and relatable, without justifying his actions.
